*News!!! =o) *

I got a call yesterday from Jason's mom! She got a letter from him!! As of August 1st, he is okay and is currently in Kuwait because he's been a casualty to the heat three times. EEeeep! I can imagine! It's been 104 degrees here and I'm dying- I can't begin to think about temperatures in the 120's! He said that getting into Iraq is hard... the first time their plane had electrical problems, but they were told to go anyway... and on the way back they got shot at by insurgents. Scary!

Other than that- he's doin' okay! He asked his mom for my address because whoops! He accidentally put it in the box that I'm supposed to keep for him! But that's okay... He has it now...or he'll have it soon at least! :) I got his APO address from his mommy and I wrote and mailed him a little love note. Aww. I miss him... every day.

I can rest at ease now though- because we have received our first correspondence!

*sigh* I love this man.

Welcome

Welcome! My name is Mindy and I decided to start this blog because my boyfriend is currently serving our country overseas in Iraq. This is a place for my thoughts and ramblings, and a place for postings by other military girlfriends and wives.
Let me start by saying, "I know." I know what you are going through. I know the sleepless nights. I know the longing for a simple touch or hug. I know the image of your soldier is permanently embedded in your mind. I know that you are constantly re-remembering the last day you saw them and praying to God that it's not for the last time. I pray every night for their safety, but I know that they must trudge on forward to our Victory! I love our troops! I support them with all of my heart and soul.
As I told myself, and my boyfriend: I will love you if you had one arm, no legs, one eye, and three fingers. I will love you no matter what happens. I will love you through the hard times, and through the easy times. You can always lean on me.

To my fellow military wives and girlfriends, I salute you for your bravery and courage, as I salute your courageous, amazing, selfless soldiers!

Rock on!! :)
